A Healing Prayer to Saint Agatha Icon

Saint Agatha of Sicily, witness to God's grace, we seek your hope. As you were restored in your time of need, please look with compassion upon those burdened by illness. We ask for your powerful intercession for strength and for the grace of healing. 

Amen.
  
Note: Every so often I post a prayer I use as part of my daily prayers. I started praying this one earlier this year. We moved last year and I have started attending Saint Agatha Catholic Church, I had visited pervious and even done a Photo Essay of the church, Saint Agatha Catholic Church A Photo Essay. It is one of two prayers to Saint Agatha I am trying to pray daily.

Prayer of the Day A Prayer to Saint Agatha

Saint Agatha of Sicily, you who were miraculously healed by the grace of God, look upon those facing illness and ask for your intercession for healing. Grant us the strength of your spirit and the blessing of a miraculous recovery. Through Christ our Lord.

Note: Every so often I post a prayer I use as part of my daily prayers. I started praying this one earlier this year. Prayer for the Beatification and Canonization of Father Emil Kapaun

Lord Jesus,
in the midst of the folly of war,
your servant, Chaplain Emil Kapaun,
spent himself in total service to you
on the battlefields and in the prison camps of Korea,
until his death at the hands of his captors.
We now ask you, Lord Jesus, if it be your will,
to make known to all the world
the holiness of Chaplain Kapaun
and the glory of his complete sacrifice for you
by signs of miracles and peace.
In your name, Lord, we ask,
for you are the source of peace,
the strength of our service to others,
and our final hope. Amen.

Note: Every so often I post a prayer I use as part of my daily prayers. I started praying this one a few years ago. My son and I read several volumes about Military chaplains. Fr Kapaun is one we have a specific devotion to. A few have now been named Saints.

Prayer of the Day  


Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners. I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the “medicine of God” I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my body. I especially ask of you the favour (here mention your special intention), and the great grace of purity to prepare me to be the temple of the Holy Spirit.  

Amen.

Prayer of the Day

Peace of Heart Francis of Assisi - John Kirvan - Great Spiritual Teachers

Our Father who art in heaven, it does little good to pray with the words you have taught us, if we do not love and sacrifice for those whom you love and for whom your Son sacrificed everything. "A friend of Christ loves the souls that Christ loves."

It profits us little, and others not at all unless our lives speak more loudly than our words. Now as the day ends and sleep approaches, remind me that without love, faith and hope are empty, as are these words I pray.

Bless and keep all your children, especially those most in need of your love. Make your face to shine upon us all, and be gracious to us. Look kindly upon us, grant us a quiet night and lasting peace.

Amen.

Prayer for the Conversion of a Sinner to Our Lady of Pepetual Succour

O Mary, Mother of Perpetual Succour, you know so well the great value of an immortal soul. You know what it means, that every soul has been redeemed by the blood of your Divine Son, you will not then despise my prayer, if I ask from you the conversion of a sinner. You, O Merciful Mother, know her irregular life. know that you are the refuge of sinners and that God has given you power to bring about the conversion of even the most wretched sinners. You have converted so many sinners at the intercession of their friends and family. Please listen to my prayer, and bring ... conversion of heart. O Mary, help; O Mother of Perpetual Succour, show that you are the advocate and refuge of sinners.

Eternal Father, your priest, Fr William Doyle, offered his life as a sacrifice to your love. With zeal for the salvation of souls, he sought to raise the fallen and console the broken-hearted. Amid the horrors of war, he was a servant of your grace and an advocate for peace and reconciliation. Teach us to imitate his love for you and his heroic devotion to your service. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, 
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear Jesus, 
Please bless our Holy Father, the pope. 
Lead him to be a pontiff who is holy and humble, 
brave and bold.
Help him follow in the footsteps of St. Peter 
to guard the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
Make him a good shepherd who governs and guides 
the whole Church.
May the pope serve You faithfully every day of his life. 
Amen.
