Prayer for our Holy Father Pope Leo XIV
Prayer of the Day
O God, who in your providential design
willed that your Church be built upon blessed Peter, whom you set over the other Apostles, look with favour, we pray, on Leo, our Pope and grant that he, whom you have made Peter’s successor, may be for your people a visible source and foundation of unity in faith and of communion.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for him
St Peter, pray for him
All you Holy Roman Pontiffs, pray for him
Ss Augustine and Monica, pray for him
Amen.
Every so often I post a prayer I use as part of my daily prayers. This is one of two I have been praying for Pope Leo XIV since his election, and I plan to continue and pray it each day going forward.
