This story has drawn to a close. We have now spent a year with Cal and his friends, and watched the events unfold from a prophecy a year ago. And in this one we find out if all the trials, tribulations, misunderstandings and brushes with the law were worth it!

But it is not the end of the store. For Lord has written 5 other stories set in this universe. One is Boges’s story, one for Winter and a trilogy called Black-Ops. I read the first two volumes in this series back in 2011; I had planned on reading them one a month as they were released. But that did not happen. My son started reading them in 2026 and he is in his late teens so I decided to pick them back up and have now finished the series. I read about one a month over the last several months.

When I read the first 2 it was a new series from Scholastic, Conspiracy 365, is another unique approach to books that will draw readers in and keep them addicted. Much like the 39 Clues or Skeleton Creek books, it approaches storytelling in a new and different way that with draw an addicted following of readers. The story is about the life of Callum (Cal) Ormond. Almost like a year-long version of the TV series 24. The story was originally told over 12 books, one released each month for a year. And we now know the story continued with a shorter follow up series and 2 standalone stories.

The Canadian description of this volume states:

A lot happens in this volume. Some of it stuff they had been planning and working on for months, and some of it completely surprising. The story takes some serious twists and turns in this final offering of the original series. Even compared to everything that has happened in the previous 11 volumes. 

A thrilling conclusion to an excellent series!

These books have a few cool features. In each book, the page numbers start at the highest and count down. The chapter and section headings are Dates and Time. This was an excellent twelfth instalment in the series. Give them a try you will not be disappointed. This is another good read in an excellent series. And the 5 books that continue the story. A great book and series I can easily recommend!

Things are still pretty bleak at the beginning. The police hunt for Cal has intensified. And with a security conference coming to the area before the ends of the year the police are pulling out all the stops to capture him and not look like fools that cannot even apprehend one teen at large and mostly on his own. Winter finds more pieces of her story. Boges is picked up and interrogated. And Cal is at an all-time low waiting for a passport so he can try and make the desperately needed trip to Ireland. But at the end he is in maybe the tightest spot yet in the series.

This one once again ends on a major cliff hanger. Thus leaving you desperate for the next volume. These books were originally published in Australia and North America by Scholastic, unfortunately it appears eBook editions were never released in Canada. This is another great instalment in a thrilling series.

This volume picks up right where the previous left off. And things are pretty bleak at the beginning. And unfortunately they end on an even worse note. Some things do go right for Cal and his team during this story. But things do take a turn for the crazy and that drives Cal to some desperate actions. 

This one yet again ends on a major cliff hanger. Thus leaving you desperate for the next volume.

This seventh instalment keeps up the intense plot. This one starts with a splash and ends with a thud. A lot happens between those two sounds. After the previous volume I wondered how are you going to top surviving attack dogs, a fire, and crashing an experimental plane? This time he starts under water trapped in a fishing net, and he could be a big money catch if he is recognized. The incident with a locked in freeze, and several more close encounters with police and the bad guys who are hunting him down. Add in a visit to a distant relative in a cloistered convent, and an encounter with a speed bike and this one is packed yet again with action, adventure and mystery.

The story just keeps getting better, and more intense with each offering. I read the first two volumes in this series back in 2011; I had planned on reading them one a month as they were released. But that did not happen. My son started reading them in 2026 and he is in his late teens so I decided to pick them back up and finish the series. I have read one a month over the last four months and am keeping pace at a month ahead of the calendar.

When I read the first 2 it was a new series from Scholastic, Conspiracy 365, is another unique approach to books that will draw readers in and keep them addicted. Much like the 39 Clues or Skeleton Creek books, it approaches storytelling in a new and different way that with draw an addicted following of readers. The story is about the life of Callum (Cal) Ormond. Almost like a year-long version of the TV series 24. The story will be told over 12 books, one released each month. And we now know the story continued with a shorter follow up series.

The description of this volume states:

“Stripped of his identity and imprisoned in an insane asylum, Cal's search for the truth has never looked more hopeless. Nobody knows where he is and he has no way to get in touch with his mates. He's also lost all the clues he had to the Ormond Singularity: the family secret that's turned his life into a nightmare. Against all odds, somehow Cal must escape to carry on his father's quest. He has 245 days. The countdown continues.

This sixth instalment keeps up the intense plot, but this one is much more of a slow burn. How are you going to top surviving attack dogs, a fire, and crashing an experimental plane? Cal escapes the crashed plane but now needs to elude the authorities and they now suspect him of arson and murder as well. He relies on two friends, and they both come through in this one. Some new clues are discovered and some new dangers uncovered; including a very thinly veiled threat. Some great pieces of the puzzle are worked on. But there is still a long way to go to New Year’s Eve. Can Cal keep it up? To find out read this and the other instalments in this great series!

These books were originally published in Australia and North America by Scholastic, unfortunately it appears eBook editions were never released in Canada. This is another great instalment in a great series. Of note for this 6th instalment there are two key variations of the covers, some have Cal wearing a toque or beanie and some do not. Most of the other volumes have fairly similar covers I am not sure why such a drastic change for some editions of this volume. At the time of the writing of this review Goodreads had 23 editions. Of those based on this cover it seems a pretty even split. 

These books have a few cool features. In each book, the page numbers start at the highest and count down. The chapter and section headings are Dates and Time. This was an excellent sixth instalment in the series and I know I will have to read all 12 books; the story is so good I cannot put it down. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

He tries to escape, and things do not go well. Then during a disturbance he sends out a call for help. But has he burned the bridges with his friend who has stood by him. If he can get out where can he go and who can he trust?
