This is the second edition of this book. The first, a large picture book, has been out for a while now. I did a side by side comparison and to be honest really like both editions. In this board book edition the pictures are resized and there are a few things you can see in the glossy board pages that you cannot in the picture book. This is a great story, and is a good story as a cure for your own bad mood. This edition is great for younger children and the picture book for older children. My daughter and son are each carring around one of the editions and ask me to read them back to back. They love that they each have a different version of the same book.

We absolutely love Grumpy Bird. Nice dry sense of humour. Great little distraction when my own little bird is grumpy.
